Woman's Role/Worth

If you ask my grandmother she will tell you "a woman's job is to love her husband whatever the cost". She grew up in an era where the woman's role was to do it all..work,cook,clean, care for the kids and do it all tomorrow, without complaint. It was just her job. When did the woman become so independent that the thought of doing it all becomes almost offensive to them. It was not that long ago, that we did what we were told and that was the end of it. I enjoy my independence and rights as a woman but sometimes I think it would be easier if I lived in a time where I knew my role and I knew my worth and I accepted it without question.
